We expect our users to be familiar with and adhere Reddit's official and the.Filter by Flair. Well, there is modded Mount and Blade: Warband, but I'm not sure if there is one with all points listed. The core game has some similarities with kenshi although it is far more automated.Floris mod lets you build fortifications, but they eventually go away if you leave them. Nova Aetas mod lets you build your own city piece by piece, but the AI could bug out when defending it. There is likely several Post apocalyptic mods as well, the most popular one i can find would be The Reckoning, but it is a zombie apocalypse scenario if that isn't your thing. Dwarf Fortress has the base building, or adventuring and being 'some guy', but not both at once, as Fortress Mode and Adventurer Mode are different things.Rimworld is nothing like Kenshi whatsoever, so ignore whoever says that.
Rimworld IS a fucking amazing game, especially if you like building a base and having to put up with your characters being retarded and having emotional problems.Mount and Blade is nothing like Kenshi. Ignore those people too.Cataclysm DDA is definitely the apocalypse feel, with excessive scavenging and crafting, and you dying like a little bitch. It's zombies, however.Neo Scavenger is apocalyptic, one character, scavenge and craft, etc. Pretty shitty in a lot of ways, though.Overall, Kenshi is really one of a kind, and that's a damn shame, since the devs are assholes who won't add what needs to be added (why in the fuck do starving bandits not pick up meat I drop on the ground?).
Definitely Mount & Blade. Both have an almost identical isometric map view and control. Both have the same basic inventory, loot, gear and encumbrance mechanics. With the right mods you can build infrastructure and develop cities. I would say the major difference is the combat, in which case M&B is vastly superior. The base game isn't very challenging, but there are several really good mods that make it so. Prophesy of Pendor is my favorite, it adds a lot and makes the game pretty brutal.Kenshi for me gets stale around the 50 day mark, which is around the time your guys are pretty strong in combat. I never got into the building aspect, mainly because there really is no need to produce anything.
I took Rebirth and free'd all the slaves with just 3 guys, so I don't see why you would ever need an army. The economy is too anemic and resources too exploitable. The early game is blast, but that doesn't last very long. I think it's time I revisit M&B, I have a thirst for that gritty underdog struggle to survive. Here's my pick, I haven't seen it mentioned.Battle brothers: conceptually very similar to kenshi, only the world is a lot less flashed out, rpg and story elements are much more prevalent and fighting is in turns.
